I’ve only been messing with ccs the last few months, so I’m not sure if these are legit, but I’m leaning towards no. My cousin bought them for my dad a couple weeks ago while in the Dominican Republic. I don’t know where she bought them there, or how much she paid, but I’ve never seen this band before by itself on a Romeo Churchill. Also I’ve never seen a cc in celo. Also the date code has faded or was rubbed off it appears. And lastly, it has a holographic sticker of authenticity on the bottom of the box, which I’ve never seen....what’s everyone think?276A7E20-A013-455E-82A1-FEAB8067DBC1.jpeg6E0FADA8-EA6A-4A38-8F08-8BA374C28740.jpegED169431-A073-44F7-AC4E-ACAFF49B59F2.jpeg1AAD835C-45ED-4D39-9C59-493A0E1E9684.jpeg

I am going to Dominican in Nov and everything I have read says that 90% of all CC in the country are fake because no stores want to deal with them since they have to be imported and they have to pay an extra tax on them. So most CC are made from banana leafs and newspaper and sold to tourists

99% is probably more accurate. ;)

Besides all the other problems with these sticks, I don't think CC's have "Made in Habana" written in english on the box.
haha yeah that one hadn't even occurred to me....usually I have bought from a highly recommended vendor most of the guys here use so I dont worry about it, or they've been box splits where I know I dont have to worry....so I don't actually see a lot of dress boxes in person.

Yah he’s not much of a smoker, so he will never know the difference. I figured I’d just let him think they’re Cubans and not burst his bubble,
I actually feel you on this. normally I would crush someones illusions like a little bug, but let that guy think that its something special.

but for real open one up to look inside and make sure its ok.

I dunno man, the cigar looks good, Cuba isn't known for getting things perfect, and if I was a counterfeiter, I doubt SLR would be my first choice. If it tastes. Cuban, it's probably legit.
