  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Another Rib Question for Memorial Day

Bought a 3 pack of baby backs and am about to start 1 rack on the grill at 11:00. Since my sauce recipe will supply plenty of sauce, I would like to do a second rack in the oven but have no idea how to do them that way. Any help?

Thanks!

It is the smallest Weber sold...2 burner. I could have done 2 racks if I stacked them but wasn't comfortable trying it since this is my first time doing them on the grill.

Thanks for the link!
I tend to stack on the bone side, since they are cooking slowly, it shouldn't matter and you can rotate...

another option....

the Weber rib rack...

only one rack on the grill? you should be able to get 2 on the grill...

but, if you do need to do a rack in the oven...

this sounds about right...

That sounds about right David. I also do a reverse braise. I season water with a dry rub and some bay leaves and submerge the ribs in it. Then cover and bake at 300 for a couple hours. remove and throw them on the grill with either sauce or rub. always come out nice and juicy.

Ribby it works awesome. Especially for rendering the fat so there arent any flare ups on the grill. even did this, then rubbed em and put them in the smoker to pick up smokey goodness.
