  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Any Of You BOTL Members Baseball Fans?

I am a weekend pack season tickets holder for my final season at yankee stadium the old. And I will have tickets to the new stadium next year.
I watch almost every weekeday game at night. But I can't smoke at home. Sad.

Gotta love this time of year. I live in Winter haven, Fla. where the Indians train. We also have the Tigers in Lakeland and the Braves in Kissimmee both are less than 30 min. from my house. One of my sons highschool coaches is the stepson of Charlie Manuel, Manager of the Phillies. Last year I go to watch a practice and Charlie is setting in their dugout. I don"t know who was more shocked, the kids, or the parents.
This year, Matt Diaz of the Braves has been working out with the team. Also, my oldest son is in his Freshman year of college ball and my second son just accepted and signed to play with Daytona Beach Community College after his senior season and my third son, a sophmore will start baseball as soon as his basketball season ends.
I love this time of year.

I used to be a *BIG* baseball fan...I was a season ticket holder for several years, and the games I couldn't make or road games I'd watch on TV (preferably with the AM radio announcers, as they called a better game than the TV guys did).

But then the stupid team owner "bought" A-Rod, and things went down the toilet. After one year of that crap, I was *OUT* on the team and the owner. Screw 'em all.

Then the steroids thing started to get ugly.

Now, I just don't care about baseball anymore.

Love baseball, as I do most sports.

With the additions of Willis and Cabrera, the Tigers are going to rock this year!

Well, now you need to find another place to stay on the 9th. :stretchgr

Football and basketball are sports I like to fill the void with until baseball rolls around every year. Season ticket holder since their inception, Go Dbacks.

One of the perks of the constant travel is I can schedule most trips when the Local MLB team is in town. I get to see games in 20-25 different parks a year.
