  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Any pipe items for Christmas??

Maybe I missed it, if I did let me know. But, what pipe related items did you get from Santa? Here's mine- pipe pouch from Sorringowl and Sons, a tamper, and a label maker for my mason jars.

So I've posted pics of this stuff in other threads, but here's what I got...

Wife let me buy this Ashton as an early Christmas present.

Wicket hit me with a Moonshine Rhodie, a pipe stand, and a frigging Peterson lighter in the general secret Santa exchange.

Grrrrasshat609 made a sneak attack on the Florida crew... Dope ass pen and tamper set he made (tamp is frigging perfect btw), and a tin of McClelland Dominican Glory Maduro from 1995

And to add insult to injury he phoned in a tin of Margate at Edwards when I showed up for pipe club... Jerkass... Ha ha ha

All around I think I made out pretty damn well if I say so myself... Waiting for the new year before cracking that DGM though... ;)

Edit: forgot, but the Cardinal House was a gift to myself... Ha ha ha ha

We have matching tampers. I use mine everyday. It's excellent. Nice haul all around

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...

I've gotta give my wife credit for trying!
This is the first time she's given me anything other than grief in regards to tobacciana. It just kills me knowing she walked in to a B&M and got taken advantage of. Surely the total cleared $100 after taxes and could have gotten a decent box of something online for that. (or 10 tins of Cheer last week)
I'll appreciate each of those Opus to the fullest as it's something I'd never buy myself, even at a good price. But, I'm going to have a hard time swallowing that $20+ tin of DE knowing I've got a dozen more in the cellar I paid about $6 a piece for.

I did offset things, though, and splurged on a couple of estates as a gift to myself.

(Yeah! A "20" ! )

Give her no grief. She not only showed you understanding, she demostrated she was also willing to spend good money on what she doesn't approve of for your enjoyment.

Simple ignorance is the explanation, and that is nothing to be ashamed of.

Oh, I had a smile on!
And the fact that she spent $100 on tobacco for me is absolutely awesome! This just shows me that I need to share my hobby with her more so she has some familiarity. Lord only knows the outcome if I tried to buy her horse tack. Talk about out of my element!

Also, I'm drunk. Someone send me a name and address before I go pass out.

Maybe that will explain any rantiness I've been exhibiting tonight. :)
