BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Anybody smoking 1997 Lusitanias?

Partagas lusi -97 is not a full bodied smoke.. medium to upper medium would be my assessment of it.. it used to be a full bodied smoke pre -95 blend change.. and it is coming back to the former glory with current releases... but 96-2002 would be a weaker blend...40boy said:
Still very yummy for sure.. and I really like it.. but it isn't a full bodied bold smoke that you stated you are looking for.... more of an aristocratic and refined lady :wink:
My 2002 Lusis are pretty mild, very aromatic, but too mild for my liking. I've some from 98, 99 and 2000 and they are basically the same. None are like the Lusis I was fond of in the early 90's, they were a powerhouse cigar back then.
If you want a churchill size cigar with a kick I would recommend you look at Punch Monarcas, or Cohiba Esplendidos.

1997 Lusi - a DELICIOUS, refined/sophisticated gem of a medium bodied smoke.
Certainly not a 'kick in the head' , "knock me down" type of smoke - but a wonderful smoking experience nevertheless. I have this with some beautiful Cognac and am reminded again how good life can really be.... :smt023 :smt023
