  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Anybody trout fish?

Now that's a beauty my friend!

How much did it weigh, where did you catch it and how did you prepare it to eat?

This beast was over 10 lbs. 24" long. I caught him in Beaver Co. PA. Not eating him, he is going on the wall (may be a state record).

When I do eat them I grill them in foil with butter pepper and lemon juice (fresh).

Sweet!

Man, I miss trout fishing so much. We used to go up to Donner Lake (near Tahoe) every summer when I was a kid/teen. I'd fish Doner Lake, and the Truckee River, which flows out of Tahoe.

...The meories :)

Hope to take my daughter there someday soon.

Wow that is a strange color. I fish for Rainbows, German Browns and Brookies. What the hell is that?

Grill in foil over the campfire with butter is the way I do it too. No lemon on mine please.

That's what easterners refer to as a "golden trout"...hatchery born and bred. That one looks like "brood stock". They stock them in lots of WV "put and take" streams...easier for the "truck chasers" to spot from the stream bank...
