  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Tried it once and it wasn't for me. Had to chew the cigar way more than normal just to get a draw. And then it got real tarry due to pulling so hard for so little. I have smoked many of the same cigars with a straight cut with great results, so my only assumption was it happened based in cut. I think you're better off just buying an extra smoke with the $10, but tgat is just imvho. I know some people do like the shurikens

This. I was at a B&M who had one out on the counter when they first came out. Horrible draw. All kinds of build up at the slits. These were a flop for a reason.

no. please no. tried it side by side with a straight cut, same cigars on the same days (pair of chateau fuente SG, then a pair of fausto). it seemed to me like the shuriken delivered LESS flavor each time.

try it of you would like, and i wish you luck, but i fully recommend AGAINST the thing.

Yeah, my co-worker tried it out at IPCPR 2 years ago and had to put the cigar almost an inch in to his mouth to get a good draw and the slots became full of tar about 1/4 the way in to the cigar. Needless to say, we didn't bring it in to the shops.

We didn't bring them in either due to the same reasons as others above have posted. A little gimmicky IMO and you had to chomp down on the cigar to open the slits enough to get a decent draw. Save the money and buy an extra stick or 2.

I'm sure one day, especially if you ask around you will find a shop or a brother who has one and you can try it and form your own opinion.

I bought one to try it out and was not crazy about if for all the reasons mentioned. If you still want to give it a try you can have it.

Same experience here. I bought one, gave it a few tries, and it practically destroyed every cigar I tried it on. It is great if you want to simulate smoking a plugged cigar. :agreesmil I may still have it around somewhere... I'll stick with the good old straight cuts and punches. I do have a v cutter, but I don't really use it much either,

glad to learn these aren't so ideal - I'd been considering ordering one to test out
Save your money and use it to by another cigar. I had all the same experience the other folks said and more, they are HUGE in your pocket... I always carry my "tool" and that thing is way too big. I have been really liking a "V" cutter, less tar, better draw and it don't bugger up the cap.....

I was given one a while back with a sampler of cigars, only way to make it worth a damn was to puncture and twist a bit then repuncture, by the time you got a good enough opening the end of your stogie was destroyed.

If anyone wants to give it a try, it's yours, its just sitting next to my humidor collecting dust.
