I hockey but I :angerFU: when I go to a great game and I hear people on the way out of the arena saying "That sucked, not enough (or no) fights!".

I agree...I've been involved with the sport a LONG time and can definately appreciate it for aspects beyond just the brute fighting.

it definately irks me when I go to talk about a game with a "fan" and all they have to say is...man, that was a sweet fight!

what about the top shelf one timer from the point, or Ryan Miller flashing leather from point blank range during ther shoot-out!...that's what I appreciate!

I love going to hockey games, but it's kind of a pain to watch on tv.

I used to have season tickets to the Charleston Sting Rays, and as an added bonus I only lived 1 mile from the convention center where they played.

I have never made it to a NHL game though. The Sharks play in San Jose, but man, that would be a trip and a half from Sacramento......

I've been skating since I was three years old, and have only recently not been playing due to a motorcycle accident.

I enjoy fighting, but there's much more to hockey than fighting. Bench clearing brawls are fun, but I wish the game would go back to the early to mid 90's style of play.

Oh, and btw, Fuck You Gary Bettman, Fuck You. Go back you basketball you worthless midget cunt.

hockey isnt what it used to be. in my view, the game has taken on a more olympic-european style. They have taken the North American grittiness out of the game. I just cant watch it anymore.
