  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

A civilian I work with got some of these in today and since they were sent with a humidipak and felt perfect, we sparked them up tonight.

The pre-light inspection was very intriguing to me. The shape of the double perfecto and the size are something totally different from my normal stogies. Also, I have only smoked a couple Cameroon wrapped cigars so the smell of the wrapper had me a little worried. Very different than I am used to.

I should also note I have only smoked a couple Fuentes. None of the high end Fuentes yet. The few I have had have been more bargain smokes such as the OPUS X Lost City and Casa Fuente.

I'm kidding. But seriously I have only smoked the Curly Heads and Double Chateau Natural.

I took care to only light the little nipple or tip or whatever you call it. The draw was tight and small at first, which I expected. But even before the burn got past the curve, it was producing a ton of smoke. Smooth, full, rich smoke.

I liked this lil guy right away. The flavor didn't really change up so I won't bore you with how it progressed. To me it tasted like really good car leather and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.

I didn't get any cream but at the half way point I did notice a campfire taste and it was pleasant.

It only ashed twice before I quit at the nub. Very good smoke!

These sound delicious!
I have only had the Short Story in the line and I was very impressed with it!

Of course I was smacked with the sS from a fellow BOTL.

Still one of my typical go to sticks. I really enjoy the hemingways.

I keep hearing so many good things about this Hemingway cigar... Can anyone tell me a way to get one online? (A site that stocks them at a decent price, preferably singles) every B&M I've checked so far didn't have them, and I'd really like to get my hands on a single.

Thanks,
Jeremy

This is one of my - go to cigars. Ive been smoking them for 15 years and will always have several different types of hemingways ageing in the humidor.
If you like "hemingways" try a "anejo" Fuente for a good suprise.:cbig:

Maybe I had a bad one and I don't ant to come across as a d**k, but I didn't care for the Hemingway SS. The Opus X Love Story was awesome, but the SS was a bad experience.

Bad draw, stale flavors. I just didn't like it. I will try another due to how solid everybody says they are. I like the brand.

Hey, it happens.
