  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

The hockey team I usually play with will be playing a charity hockey game against the University of Texas hockey team this Sunday afternoon at 2PM in Austin. The team is playing at Chaparral Ice at I-35 and Wells Branch.

The charity we'll be supporting is going to be the local Wounded Warriors project at Fort Hood. It's not exactly affiliated with the national project, but instead focuses on just the local wounded soldiers out of Fort Hood and is a great cause. All proceeds will directly benefit this project.

Unfortunately, I likely won't end up playing in this game unless we run short on players, but I'll be there to support the team and the project. If you feel up for watching the UT hockey team and supporting a good cause, we'd certainly be glad to have you join.

The Facebook page about this event is here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=169440879744984&index=1

Flyer posted below.

Thanks guys!

Shout out to you and to the organization. Wounded Warriors do great work. When my son's Humvee hit an IED and got flipped and he chipped his tail bone during his first deployment to Afghanistan, they took great care of him from the time he hit Germany until he was recovered. He tells me that a couple of guys have gotten injured during this deployment and the folks for WW have stepped up again.

Great gesture.

Semper Fidelis young hockey player!
