Getting ready to fire up my last Avo 787. Once again, I did a search and there is no formal review on this cigar. I am pasting my review from another forum.

Although I am a complete Pepin whore, I like to mix things up from time to time. Today is one of those times. The Avo 787 is a limited production blend created by Hendrik Kelner(Davidoff) and Avo Uvezian. I smoked my first 787 almost a year ago and fell in love with it. Although I prefer the Perfecto, I am smoking a Robusto this evening.
1/3
I normally punch Robusto's, but I used my Palio to cut the 787 this evening. As usual the cut was perfect. At that point I inspected the cigar and ran it across my nose. MMMM...a very smooth woody smell. After the inspection I ignited my Vector Exlade and lit the cigar. From the git go, this cigar was all about wood and spice. A very wonderful combination on a cool Fall evening. The wood and spice flavors continued through the rest of the 1/3.
2/3
I would like to tell you that this cigar is very complex, but I cannot. Throughout the 2/3 of the cigar, wood and spice dominated the cigar. Oh well, at least they are flavors I love
3/3
This is where the cigar makes a turn for the worse. The flavors are still there, but it gets too hot. For me, excessive heat promotes bitterness. At that point I placed the 787 into the Stinky. In the past, this has not happened with the Perfecto or the Toro. The cut versus a punch might have made the difference...IMO.
Overall, this is a great cigar and I am always looking for bargains. I give the Avo 787 a 2 thumbs up. Again that means the following:
1. I will smoke this cigar again.
2. I will attempt to buy a box
