  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I got a really bad cold on Saturday. This is the first time I've gotten sick in the middle of Summer...not quite sure what's up with that. It's peaking right now. I am miserable, so I decided to take control of my plight and make life rosy again. Here's what I did: I got some of those Breathe Right Strips from CVS, blew my nose, and fired up a JDN 1970 Antano. The strip held my nasal passages open perfectly and I actually detected some great flavors that I never experienced before. Maybe the nasal irritation that the cold caused made my receptors extra sensitive or something :). Anyway, I highly recommend this tactic. Happy smoking:cjump:

That is hardcore right there. I am a puss when it comes to smoking when i have a cold, or am sick. I always wait till I am 100% before lighting up.

Yup, agreed. Same way, I tend not to smoke if I'm sick at all.

Too funny. I tried that 2 Saturdays ago, but forgot the breath right strip. All I tasted was crap. Now that the cold is over I'm back on path of smoking all the damn purchases I've made lately. Good to know that the next cold won't set me back as long as I get the breath right.

That reminds me....couple years ago I used to snort a little Afrin about a quarter hour before lighting up. Introduced me to whole new range of tastes. I'd forgotten about that and will have to revisit.

Yeah all of life is about calculated risk.

I smoke cigars, drink wine/beer/tequila/vodka/rum, ride motorcycles, off-road in Jeeps, own firearms, Rescue SCUBA, skydive, horseback ride, was in the Army and a cop, currently work in Iraq :)
Thanks Jim, for making my life seem trivial and boring!!! LOL
