I'm still expanding my still amateurish single malt scotch experiences and discovered this very reasonably priced Highland on sale for $33 at my local liquor warehouse. After cutting it with a few drops of water, the flavors really opened up with a lot of fruity notes similar to what I experience with the Balvenie Doublewood. Vanilla, with cinnamon on the finish were just some of what I could discern.
If you like the sweeter varieties, I think you'll enjoy this. I might have to seek out some 1989.
