  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Wow....great, great beer.
Gifted to me by a generous BOTL here. I didn't know anything about it and a guy I was with this weekend told me it's in his top 5 all time. He is not lying...This is gooda...

One of my most favorite, if not the most favorite, IPAs. Got to love the balance and apricot taste that rounds out the hoppiness and hides the 7% ABV.

I'm headed to a bar in Harrisburg tomorrow night that is notorious for having rare beers on tap. Here's to hoping they have some of this stuff on one of their 48 taps.

It would be awesome if they have it, but it is super rare, even here in SoCal. I'd say if you're outside of San Diego it's very hard to come by. Let us know though...

I'm not counting on it but this place has had Pliny I think both Elder and Younger in the past. So they know someone somewhere that gives them good beer.

I ended up not going. Wife decided that some yard work needed to be done in the front of the house which gave me a very tired back. I had already brewed up a batch of beer by the time she went on this flower planting/edging mission. Maybe I'll swing by today at some point to see what they have.

I finally was at the bar. They DO have Sculpin but it's in the 22oz bottles. I had a draft of gubna last night instead. I might stop in and buy a bottle this week though.

Nope haven't had it yet. I figured I'll swing by and pick up a bottle or two depending on price. I bet they want like $20 for them and thats a bit steep to me. Anyway the place is kick ass with 48 taps and only like 3 beers were doubles.

Colby, the brewer at BP, is the f-ing man! I am not crazy about the Sculpin though... I like Green Flash West Coast better in terms of IPAs. Now the BP Dorado IIPA is something to talk about. That comes and goes, but when it is around, it is surely worth drinking! Much like Avery's Maharaja, or Russian River's Pliny the Elder.

Had a Sculpin & Pliny the Elder tonight. Both are amazing! I think I still like Pliny better but the Sculpin was damn good! I recommend them both if you can get your hands on some.
