so I went to the post office just now to try to get some of your packages this afternoon, and my card was declined by the automated postage machine. I didn't have time to stand in line and go through the clerk.

earlier today I tried to order some of our march cigars to get a jump start on that, but my card was declined. never had this problem before so my first thought was that I must have entered the wrong card number. reentered the order, same result. did one box to see if a lesser amount would do it, no dice.

went to the bank after the P.O. to see what was up and they said they couldn't help me there, that I had to call the number on the back of the card. they escorted me to a phone and my call was forwarded to their fraud prevention center. great. after giving them my info, and a blood sample they looked into my account. I had already made up some b.s. story about buying some coins overseas in case they asked :grin: . but that wasn't the problem the suspicious charge was one I made at serious cigars on monday. wtf!

anyway, we addressed that one (I fuckin' walked into the store and signed the slip!) the one I was trying to make this morning and they said they would reset my card and make a note of it as well. before hanging up I told the lady "I will be placing an order in about 30 minutes when I get to the office, am I going to have problems with that?" "no sir" was their reply.

well I just tried to place the same order like I said I would and the damn transaction was declined. fucking asshats! :smt070

so has anyone had problems ordering from CoH in the past few days? or is my bank being bitches about it?

or maybe I need to clear my computer's cache?

I think think it's odd that they told me my card was fine and it keeps getting declined....and yes there is money in that account :smt040

order finally went through about a minute ago. I had to have my card "reset" a total of two times yesterday. I should be cool now. this morning they were trying to tell me that it was the website that was rejecting my order, not them. yeah right, I have yet to meet a merchant that would refuse money thrown at them.

you would not believe the latest chapter in my banking saga. go back to the post office to drop off the packages I was sending out yesterday...and you guessed it. my card gets declined by the automated postage machine. luckily, I brought my entire wallet this time instead of just the card. so those are off (dc#s will be posted on feb. cigars thread, btw).

so I call the bank and ask what the fuck is going on. this is the 4th time I've had to do this in the past two days, second time today.

here's what they told me:

since I have an overwhelming amount of overseas transactions on the card, a fraud alert was triggered. fine. I thought I had addressed that twice yesterday and once this morning. it worked this morning. the nice lady told me that it had been coded to be accepted overseas without a problem, but since I tried using it stateside it was blocked for security purposes :smt013

anyway, she made me go to the gas station and use it while she was on the phone with me to rerecode it and she assured me I will have no more problems from here on out.

I fuckin' hate banks.

fuck no, they are on my shit list as well. wells fargo. well at least they aren't holding my fuckin' checks for 6 days anymore. most be that whole electronic scan standards that were put in place some months ago.
