  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This is a down and dirty review. I WILL start out by saying that what prompted me to write it was, like movies that stay with me for days after viewing, i woke up today and my first thought was about the Rexie I smoked yesterday.

The cigar is a thing of beauty and while some have had mixed feelings or hate for the band, I love it and think it compliments the color and shape of the vitola beautifully. The band and cigar are both something very special.

I like Pete's style. Maybe because we are close in age? :dunno:

ANYWAY, I spark this bad boy and get a blast of pepper and spice. THIS THING IS A BEAST out of the gate! But unlike the ~?~ S&Bs, where I felt like someone sprayed cracked pepper at the back of my throat, this was dense and complex pepper, more refined, if you will.

In the middle of the first third, the other flavors start to swim to the surface, espresso, a spicy wood, and a touch of sweet spice. I am NOT SAYING these flavors are muddled as much as they are in the process of developing more fully. (IMHO, there is a difference) This cigar's construction was perfect, as evidenced by a perfect draw and burn. The cigar was a pleasure from beginning to end.

But in the end, I couldn't help but think I am sitting on a gold mine. I will re-spark in 3-6-9 months respectively and probably wish I would have bought my own box instead of the 8 sticks I have left.

Happy Thanks giving my fellow BOTL and family of choice.

Hope you like the review.

You know what she looks like. She's a BEAUT!

Thanks for the great review Jack. I still am waiting to fire one of these up. Caught a damn cold this week! How do these compare to your beloved Pork Tenderloin?

Tenderloin has less pepper and spice, and more of cohesive and complex flavor profile.

Again, I want to stress FOR NOW!

I have little doubt that this cigar was ROTT and still great and a BEAST in the best way. When this stick's flavors come together and it softens even a touch, it is going to be EPIC. I truly believe these are right in the Tat-lover's/whore wheelhouse and these cigars will become ASTONISHINGLY good.
