  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Barclay Rex IMHO, Best Tat Ever

Last night with a great book and black coffee I partook of this amazing, absolutely amazing stick.

From the ore-light sniff and draw until I stuck the toothpick in it in order to capture the final puffs, this cigar kept my rapt attention. The complexity and the wonderful flavors had me wanting to fire up another right away. Unfortunately, I did not have another.

Pete, you blew the doors off with this one damn! Please tell me this blend will surface again.

Man, this is the best Tat I have ever had.

This defineately shows why there are so many great cigars out there these days. I have not been a fan of the really full LE sticks Pete has put out lately like these, tenderloins and T110's. I did like the federal 109's a lot as well as the Tattoo's. I have no doubt that they are good sticks as many agree with you but they don't fit my flavour profile.

Agree... I had one BRex and immediately traded the rest I had away. The Reserva SW Maduro, though... wowza! I traded a lot of those away too, but because EVERYONE needs to try at least one! Sadly I'm down to my last one of those.

Sorry to hear of your not so great experiences. While I have not had the SW Reserva I wish I would have known your distaste for these for I would have taken them off your hands.

Me too! I would have GLADLY obliged after the bomb you hit me with! They are good sticks, for sure - just not to my tastes.

Not a huge fan of the reserva SW maddy either. Left what's left to rot in the back hoping they will turn into something that I enjoy more.

Surprised to hear so many people that didn't like the Barclay. Hendy and I each had one yesterday on the golf course and thought they were great.

If anyone who doesn't like em is looking to get rid of some, pm me

I enjoyed the Brex, but wouldn't say it's my favorite, still seems to need some rest IMO.

+1, the westie, eastie and SW maddy never really did anything for me

Along with the Noella Reservas.
Now that I agree with!!

yeah, most of them didn't really light my fire. now, a frank and a regio reserva were the tits. of the recent releases, the fed 90th rosado gets the nod.

Smoked one and it didn't really do anything for me...found it kind of bland actually. But as the saying goes...different strokes for different folks.

I've heard great things about the 90th Rosado from several folks. Gonna add this to my list after the MUWT and Reserva.

I happily traded away my remaining B-Rex's. The first couple I had were ok, but then they went downhill fast (lack of flavor and smoked harsh). IMHO we say many cigars just need some time but I don't think so, some just are not that great.

Im surprised by how many were not blown away by this cigar. Tons of great flavors with a lot of spice. I kicked myself for not buying another box (that's probably because of the $$$). Now I'm trying to hide them in the back of my wineador so I won't smoke them all a once.

Somewhere a little boy has just kicked his puppy. :(
Indeed. Really enjoyed the BRex...wanting to not smoke too many, so I can see how they change with age.

Love the Frank and the Regio Reservas, and the Noella Reservas. I still think the last couple of inches on the Feds are a little rough. But otherwise, love em both.

Did Bob really just say that last bit....

I'm NOT an "If it's stronger, it's better" guy. The Boris is one of my favorite Tats ever.

Yet, I'm definately on Team T-rex/Tenderloin. Those cigars are more than power, the flavor and complexity is incredible. These cigars remind me a lot of the Padron 45th. Right up my ally, a perfect strike.

In fact, I have one Frank left, and I'd trade it away at this point ... I'm not looking to trade any of my T-Rex or Tenderloins (though I'm planning to smoke most of them, and only age 1-2 of each).

I would probablly trade my last box of SW Madeira for a box of B-Rex. I agree with Nates take on the cigar, my only problem is they seem to be inconsistent, but when they are on they are grrrreat
