  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Bastards stole my pipe!

I've been smoking a bowl on the way to work every few days and left my pipe, a really ugly but smokes great pipe, in my car ash tray for weeks only to find it gone this morning! Some f'ing pothead is using my Tsuge Kaga to get his buzz on and that pisses me off. Hell, all he had to do was ask and I would have given him a nice little cob. :argh:

Nothing more I hate than a thief. I really miss the good ol days but then I'm old so most of you probably don't remember the days when you didn't have to lock shit up or let your kids play by themselves a mile away from home. We can blame a truly weak judicial system for breeding todays criminals. Sorry to hear this brother...really sucks!

Hey when I was a kid I could play outside without issue. I remember my house being unlocked all the time too.

There's been a rash of car "intrusions" lately, kids mostly looking for change in the ashtrays, GPS' and such. I should've known better since there's been many a time that I noticed things rummaged through in the car before. Bought a surveilance system last year, 3 cameras and a 500 gig DVR and still haven't worked up the energy to install the friggin thing. No one to blame but myself I guess, on the plus side I still have my cob!

may seem like a stupid question....but are you locking your car? You say you've noticed they've rummaged through your car before......
Kind of a double edged sword, a lot of areas, people leave their doors unlocked to avoid people breaking the window. Remember the No Radio signs back in the day, man I'm old lol G1

I disagree with that thought process. 100% of thieves will raid an unlocked car...but not 100% of thieves will raid a locked car. If you are going to leave your car unlocked to avoid the window being broken then no sympathy from me if you leave something in there you don't want stolen.

C'mon Tak...you are from Chicago. You know even with the car locked most punks won't shatter the window unless they see something in there they want!

I guess I'm thinking more back in the day. Still personally don't keep anything in my car and I do lock it but have a good security system. In my Honda though, I don't lock the doors and no ones been interested in what's in it. G1

I actually try to get them on Ebay but a handful of guys from the Dr. Grabow Forum always beat me to them! Why you ask, got one for sale? Let me know.

Sorry bro, being a retired ghetto copper and citizen I know the rage that comes with someone taking your property. Again, sorry for your loss, looks like you need to gift yourself something awesome-George
