Bead color change

i just got 2 ounces of heartfelt beads tonight and when i sprayed them with distilled water i didnt notice any color change is it possible that they were saturated when i received them?
p.s. im using a tupperdor

I use a oasis so i might not be much help. But my understanding is the beads turn white when dry and clear when wet. They may already be wet like you said if they are clear.

I use beads and they are almost transparent when full of water and snow white when dry.

They should have been white when you got them, I have bought several pounds over the years and never received them pre-saturated. As the other Brothers said, they turn transparent when saturated.

I'll have to give a different perspective from Icehog3. I've received beads ready to go before, so yeah, it's possible. Not saturated, for sure, but not bone dry.

If in doubt what RH the beads are, place the beads in a stocking with a calibrated digital hygrometer in a well sealed ziplock baggie for 48-72 hours to be sure what RH you beads are at and go from there.

There will be no real color change. Should go from white/dry upon arrival to 75% wet making them clear/moist.

mine are clear now that they are moist... and by looking in my container i can tell which ones are getting dryer quicker by the color change

It is possible they were saturated. I believe they come charged. I'll try to get some pics up this weekend of my Heartfelt beads
