  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This 5 1/4 x 54 stick offered a very consistent flavor profile of deep rich tobacco flavor with touches of leather in the first 1/2 and a bit of barnyard appearing through the second. The finish was very long with a mild pepper flavor and tingle on the tongue. The draw was on the loose side with the perfect amount of resistance for a smooth burn all the way down. The ash was remarkable for holding on to about 4″ before falling off in one large column. Total smoke time was 1 1/2 hours to the nub with 1″ remaining, also fairly remarkable in the fact that it stayed consistent in flavor and temperature all the way to that nub. http://cigarobsession.com/2009/09/25/berger-argenti-entubar-robusto-cigar-review/

It is filler, that they roll to stick out for effect :) Yes it's probably the best rolled stick I have ever had, hands-down. The ash held on like there was a wire through the middle.

That looks like it is well constructed. Especially to have the filler like that. I think the cigar roller was trying to show off their skill.

i think the deal with the entubar is that it is a "cigar in a cigar", hence the look. Couldn't figure out what they meant until your picture. Thanks and great review!

Actually, that "filler" is a rod of ligero that is designed to hold the ash and give a crazy flavor to the stick. I smoked one at the IPCPR show with Argenti himself and we talked for around 40 minutes, but the only info he would give me really was about his wired series.

my only problem is it is a don kiki...
Maybe in name but this one is 100% Michael Argenti. I had the pleasure of smoking the new Entubo Quad Maduro Corona Macho last night with JD and Michael, this cigar is one of the best looking cigars I've ever seen, beautifully box pressed with a gorgeous flawless wrapper and It smoked just as great. The cigar I smoked was firm and burned razor sharp. The strength of ligero center was always present but not overpowering while the surrounding filler wrapped the spice in a creamy full bodied mouth full of smoke.

The Entubar I had I loved (enough to go out and buy a box of the dc.) Construction of cigar, box, band, everything is excellent.
