  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm glad you're having a different experience than me. I got a Bugatti B-2002 2-3 years ago and it was amazing for like 4 months - then it literally refused to work. They replaced it same thing. They replaced it again and same thing. After 4ish months of use they would just fail on me. Sputter and spark and never hold a flame. It's a shame too because I LOVE that lighter when it works.
I guess I can't vouch for the B-2002. I picked one up on the cheap from C-bid but never really used it much.

The B-1 has been a workhorse for me though. Even with cheap Zippo or Ronson butane it just keeps going and going!

Anybody own a Zippo Blu2? I'm looking for a torch lighter and I've always liked the timeless look and appeal of a zippo. I've found a vendor on ebay selling them for a decent price.

I've read mixed reviews, so I'm curious to hear some 'real world' input if anyone has any.

*edit. Just saw the other thread on lighters. Oh well.

I really have to talk up the Cuban crafters perfect cut. I've used the same cutter for like 5 years now and it still cuts great. I think it was under $10.

lighter, I just use a ronson.

I have a few cutters that I like a lot. One is a xikar V-cutter. I think it was like $39 and it works great. I also have a double-blade guillotine that I bought from Old Virginia Tobacco Company like 12 years ago. It still cuts great. I looked on their website and they sell one that looks the same for $15. I can't swear it's the same cutter, but it sure looks like it.

As for lighters, I bought a Ronson Jetlite about 7 months ago that lights first time, every time. It was $4 at Walmart. I also have a Xikar Element that I bought 3 or 4 years ago that works great. On the rare times that I get to smoke indoors, I have an IM Corona Double Corona that is AWESOME!. It was spendy, but it's a great lighter.

Palio cutter and Ronson jet light are my combo of choice. I also have a Xikar punch that's been replaced twice, but this version seems good. I have a cigar box full of lighters ranging from $20 to almost $100 and none are as reliable as the Ronson.

Thank you all for the help, I really like the Palio cutter, haven't been sold on any big brand yet but while I was trying to make my decision Xikar got my cutter and lighter back to me. 4 days!! But the wife already gave permission so she can't revoke it now lol!!
