  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I am sure this has been discussed ad nasuem, but I quickly browsed the search results and couldn't find anything. I'd like to pick up some blank cigar bands to keep track of when I received sticks, etc.

Also, I have received some sticks from BOTL that actually had them printed. Any guidance in that department is appreciated :)

Thanks.

You can get the blank ones from Heartfelt industries. They are $17.95 for 500

Onlinelabels.com has bands that work with a laser or inkjet printer but they are a bit more expensive. These come 16 to a sheet that can be fed into your printer.

I would NOT recommend the ones from heartfelt. They are as cheap as they come and dont stick worth a damn. There was a big split on the good blank bands a while back and maybe one of the bros can chime in where those came from.

Those bands work great Craig and I believe Jolietfire started that thread. Definitely worth searching for.

Does anyone just make their own (paper and a glue stick-or some sort of various of)? Or would it just be easier to buy some?

Thanks guys! I will have to send him a message, it definitely looks easier to buy/trade for them (it seems I can now access the thread that was posted above). I appreciate the input

Bob (rramstad) has been selling them for a DECADE now and they're the ones everybody seems to love. Years ago, he charged 30 bucks for 1000... I think most recently it was 40 bucks for 1000. He keeps his source close to the vest and that cost covers all of his expenses. Drop him a PM!
I wish he'd make straight ones! I only use these to label uncello'd sticks with dates and if they're a gift or a trade, who they're from. I don't need the fancy-lookin ones!

That being said, these work amazingly well.

This seemed like a dead thread from 3 years ago, but I needed to do a hardcore google search and also a thorough search here until I finally found this thread!! I found the heartfelt industries website for blank bands and it looks like Bob hasn't done any more runs of the bands in over a year. Anyone have other websites they know of that sells blank bands?? For the ones with cello I got some avery labels from the store and put it on there. But I'd like to start keeping track of non-cello cigars and who gifted them to me or I purchased on my own to see how long I don't smoke them with their age.

Now, I'd rather buy a bulk amount and be set for a very long while, so no need for them to be bombed to me.

If I put this post in the wrong area, please let me know too. I was debating about putting it in the ISO, but saw this before posting it there.

Yeah. They're a little thick, but they work great. I do like that they're squared, so you can cut into strips. I usually cut in half and put it around the foot.

OK, great thanks. I saw the heartfelt ones, but after seeing something posted that they don't seem too well I had to get a deeper search going for other companies. I guess I can give these guys a shot and see how it goes from there.
