  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ordered this Blazer last week and thought I would post up a short review. So far, this has been a great lighter. The reservoir holds copious amounts of fluid (I have yet to refill it) and the spark/ignition fires up every time with a very strong and wind resistant flame. The only drawback which I was privy to before ordering, is that the silver colored models paint scrapes off easily. When I removed the warning sticker, it peeled off a little paint. Would I recommend this lighter? Yes, but I would opt for clear or black.

I got one of these recently in a trade w/ a fellow BOTL! You're right it holds a
lot of fluid, i'm told that they're waterproof and they float if they drop in water!
Every time i hand it to someone to light a cigar, they get excited, and give me
compliments on it. One comment that's constantly made is how light it is!

Mine is greyish/green and i opted to leave the sticker on.

So is the outer shell made of plastic/resin/something comparable? Seems like some sort of metal would be more durable... And just more appropriate for a tough ass looking lighter like that.

You only contribute four posts a year to this forum, and this response is what you came up with regarding my lighter review :wtf:

I think weight was a consideration with this lighter, and it is best suited for camping or hobby projects in addition to being a kick ass cigar torch that is impervious to the conditions.
