Hi guys,

My wife and I welcomed our son into this world at 6:15pm last evening! Jack Stuart Bell. He's nine weeks premature though and has some developing to do, particularly in the lung are. He's Ok though and mom (who is doing OK) and I are holding up. Prayers or thoughts would be great. Thanks for making this place awesome and I love you guys.

Congrats!!! What a handsome little guy!!

As the father of a 6 week early NICU baby who also needed lung development time, I would offer these two thoughts:

1) The nurses and doctors in the NICU are the highest qualified babysitters you will ever have. Trust that they have been taking care of preemies for over 30 years!
2) My son just turned one, and he is a fat, tall, healthy baby. I will never forget his NICU moments but you can't tell he was early.

I've got a few other thoughts but they are better shared over PM.

Congrats.
My son was born 10 weeks early, and with a collapsed lung. He spent a little over 2 months in the NICU, and then a little over a year on oxygen. He is 3 years old now and you would never guess he was a preemie.
I will definately keep your son and family in my prayers, feel free to pm me if you ever need to talk.
