This is cigar 2 of a 3 blind cigar review graciously traded to me by @tobaccowhako in exchange for a blind review. Again I was put to the test to see if I could decipre what cigar this was (answer is on the backside of the cigar). My guess was L'Atelier Maduro.
Name: Pair me with something sweet!
Size: Robusto
Smell: Musk and dark chocolate
Cold draw: Fairly firm on draw with musk flavor
Appearance: Dark brown wrapper, thin and fragile (noticed small crack in wrapper at foot
Paired with: Sweetened Costa Rican Coffee w/stevia
Smoking time: 1h15m
1st Third: Dry chocolate, black pepper spice (5/10) followed with a creamy tobacco and honey sweetness on the lips.
2nd Third: Still creamy sweetness on lips cashew and caramel came through as well. Spice fades to a 2/10. A saltiness develops towards the end of the second third.
Final 3rd: Black licorice flavor and a bit of a char. Sweet cedar and hay. Bits of lead lingering on the palate.
Final notes. Normal smoke output. Was medium in the beginning and went to full strength at the end (and by the end I was a little buzzy). My guess was a maduro L'Atelier was wrong upon revealing the backside of the band!
Again a free five pack sampler is up for grabs. Correctly guess what cigar this is Brand and blend. One guess per person please to start out. Ends Wednesday night at midnight EST!
