  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I thought they were great! I love seeing unbias reviews on cigars. If people know they are smoking something expensive they will mentally think something is better than it is a lot of the time.

I really enjoyed them. The only thing I would change is throw a dog rocket in there every now and again to keep people honest. :)

Think it is an awesome idea! It prevents people from going into a cigar with certain expectations or flavors from previous reviews. Also think an inexpensive cigar or two should be thrown into the mix dogrocket or not.

Rockets or real is Bob's thing and didnt want to step on those toes too much.
no matter how big they are!
:guitar::timebomb:

But I think that these stix were a pretty good mix of every day & premium.
No super premiums in the mix.
all MSRP's were $10 or under.

I also wouldnt want to smoke a dog rocket, so I wouldnt do that to someone.
I would and or will vary the level of cigar next time I guess.

But the MOW PA is a pretty average everyday stick to me, so that was my say lower level cigar in the mix.

Yeah, completely understandable, and I'm torn on giving someone a dog rocket. As a prank I say it could be pretty funny. On the flip side, if I'm the one smoking the dog rocket I'd probably rethink my position (and hopefully laugh about it afterwards).

But again, I really enjoyed the blind reviews and was impressed with Jdog going 3 for 3!

mad ups to jdog as well, he was ON IT! you know i enjoyed the hell out of it, as did most of the rest as far as I can tell.

want a good one? MSRP $6 and under, blind review and rating. make it difficult. and if you spell out what you are doing, you are not underselling someone's palate.

Thank you guys for the props… I got lucky with the cigars sent as I smoked 2 of them in the past (Cigar A and C) and Cigar B had obvious construction hints and a taste profile that pointed me to a few possible sticks.

I’m kind of interested to hear from folks that voted “No, didn’t care for em.” I’m sure Neil would like to get the feedback. In hindsight, maybe putting them all out there as a single post would make it easier for people to see parallels between the various reviews and opinion, although I think Neil did a bit of that with his sticky.

As far as participating in the blind review, it was a lot of funny and really entertaining. It made a few rough weeks at work go by faster and kept my mind reoccupied from the day-to-day stuff that everyone has to deal with... Thank you again Fourtotheflush for organizing this... I’m sure it was a lot of work on your part.

You're so modest. I swear, if you were a woman....

I am hoping to organize another one of these in the near future.
So for the no'ers and the yes needs improvement, I would definitely like some constructive feedback if possible.
