Hoshneer
Drew Estate NotRex
Review 2-B
Construction - Great construction with a couple medium size veins running through the wrapper. The cap cut nicely with no issues. The color is a nice light milk chocolate brown and the cigar is very firm to the touch.
Pre-light Draw - I get mostly a barnyard with very slight pepper.
First Draw lit - Not exactly what I was expecting. I got some slight fruit with cedar and a touch of pepper. It's a good start though.
1/3 - . Started a little harsh but smoothed out considerably in the first quarter inch or so. The burn is razor sharp at the moment and the ash is a nice beautiful volcanic grey. The flavor is nice and simple. It's nice and earthy with some spice to it, almost like a baking spice.
2/3 Cedar has come to the front now. I am still getting a very nice unique earthiness to it. Also I am getting a little bit of fruity sweetness on the back end but it is very mellow. This has a pretty great retrohale.
Last 3rd - The last third is all about earth and cedar for me. It's still burning fantastic and is definitely a good cigar. I am down to the last inch now and it still isn't getting hot and the flavors are still popping.
Scoring:
Overall Appearance: 16/20
Lighting and Burning: 14/15
Construction: 24/30
Taste Properties: 32/35
Score - 86
Guessing is much more fun - I don't think I've had this one but there are some familiar flavors. I am guessing it may be cuban but also I am going to say it may be an aged NC. If it's an NC it may be an older El Rey Del Mundo.
