  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Blind Review: Diesel Unholy Cocktail

Size: Short Torpedo

Smoke time: 4:38 pm - 5:36 pm

Appearance: Very dark oily wrapper, nice seamless wrapper with minimal veins

Pre light: Slight musty tobacco aroma with a faint anise background

1st Puff: Rich musty and sour tobacco dominates with nice background notes of leather and peanuts. This is a full body cigar

1st Third: The first third has a nice nutty flavor with a rich oily feel left on my lips. There's a nice baker's chocolate background

2nd Third: The 2nd third has become considerably sweeter and transitions to more of a dark cocoa but still retains the same oily feel. At this point I have a heavy nicotine buzz.

Last Third: The cigar has a very thick and rich full flavor. The sweetness died down but retained the nice baker's chocolate.

Final Thoughts: This was a very full, heavy cigar to smoke. It was a cigar I should have smoked later in the evening as I was left very sweaty from the nicotine. I enjoyed the flavors of the cigar but it would have been nice to have a little pepper or maybe some other "spice". Overall a very nice cigar to smoke. Thank you again mwlabel for providing this cigar.

Great review, bro! I should have put a disclaimer on some of the stronger ones... something to think about for future batches...

C1 was the Diesel Unholy Cocktail.

Holy crap! I would have NEVER guessed that. Last year I bought 4 boxes of these and smoked through them in about 6 months. I didn't at all recognize this cigar. WOW!! Thanks for letting me do these reviews. It's been a huge education for me.

How long have you had this cigar, rough estimate?

Good review John! I have a couple of these and I may have to light one up tonight now. Those are one of my favorite budget smokes.

I had one recently where the flavors dropped to nothing around the 1/2 point. Need to let them rest and see if maybe I was drinking something too strong (Barrel Aged Negroni).

Nice review.
