Blind Review: B2 - Perdomo Fresh Roll
Size: 5 x 50ish Robusto
Smoke Time: 8:45am - 10:05am
Pre-Light: Nothing notable. Open draw.
Construction and Appearance: Medium brown wrapper with a nice sheen to it. The cigar has a somewhat rustic appearance. No major veins.
First 3rd: Right off the bat I'm getting notes of hay and toasted almonds. No real spice to speak of. The cigar has the aroma of baked bread. As the first 3rd progresses I'm starting to get a bit of white pepper on the retrohale.
Second 3rd: Starting to get a bit of bitterness. Not a bad thing, more like a mineral taste. Body is starting to pick up. The cigar is taking on some earth tones. I'm starting to get a coffee taste coming through.
Final 3rd: I'm very surprised at how much this cigar has shifted. It started off very light and just kept increasing in body. Flavors are very earthy now with leather and espresso notes. Bitterness is still present, but like I said, it's not a bad thing. Each draw is starting to give me the impression of an old leather bound book.
Final Thought: Smoking this cigar right out of the mail I was a little worried that I might have some burn issues, surprising there were none. This cigar started off pretty light with delicate flavors and ended on a medium to full note. I really enjoyed to constant ramp up in flavor. With every draw being a little richer and fuller than the last. I have no clue as to what this cigar might be but I'm pretty sure I've never smoke it before. Score 90/100
Thanks again, Alex.
