Bolivar Lonsdales - 2000

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a box of Boli Lonsdales from 2000.

Construction shouldn't be an issue, I was told by the vendor that these are not plugged. I just wanted to get the tasting notes from my fellow botl here that have tried this cigar.

I'd like to try a couple if anyone has some....I've got stuff to trade...PM for details.

I have a box of 98 or 99's...only smoked a couple...if I remember right...classic Boli flavor, but these are butt kickers...the first one I put down with about 2" left...I might could smoke another today and LYK :smt077

Haven't had any from 2000 but I did smoke several from 2001. As Bman said these all had that classic Boli flavor profile, and also as Bman said, these things would definately sneak up on ya and bite ya. Of course I'm a Boli ho and these were just as I like em. Strong buggers that were definately best to be had after a meal!

I smoked quite a few from 01 and they were a good cigar nutty toasted tobacoo flavor and very smooth I did'nt find them to be to strong for a Boli IMO.

the Lonsdales are a bit out of character in the Boli line. More subtle in flavor with an underlying herbalness. Doesn't have the in your face spice as the rest of the lineup (BGM not included).
I have not tried any recent examples...only ones from the 80's.
