So where do you guys think Boise St, Cincinnati, and TCU should have ended up? Do you think one of them should have made the National Championship game? Not being a smart ass, I just can't think where else they should have ended up.
I think the national Championship game is good: Undefeated #1 Alabama -vs- Undefeated #2 Texas, winner take all.
No, I do not think Cincy, Boise St, or TCU should be playing for any part of the National Championship.
My problem is that the #3, #4, and #6 teams are all "small teams" and should be given the opportunity to play the big schools in big bowl games, but the BCS is too chickenshit to allow it to happen.
Here's some more BCS bullshit: Cincy bumped from 5th to 3rd by winning their championship (by a measly 1 point) while TCU did nothing and dropped from 3rd to 4th.....just because their conference, the Mountain West, doesn't play a championship game?!? The AP poll got it right: TCU stays #3, Cincy bumps from #5 to #4, and Florida drops from #1 to #5. In both systems, Boise St. is #6 because of strength-of-schedule.
Cincinnati and TCU both should be playing Top Ten big schools in a big bowl game....teams like Florida, Georgia Tech, and Ohio State.
Even if you fall for that BCS-line-of-bullshit about #4 TCU -vs- #6 Boise State being a match-up of two undefeated teams....why wouldn't it be #3 Cincinnati -vs- #4 TCU instead, which is *STILL* a match-up of two undefeated teams?!? Then your top two bowl games of the BCS would be:
- Undefeated #1 Alabama -vs- Undefeated #2 Texas
- Undefeated #3 Cincinnati -vs- Undefeated #4 TCU
But no, that'd just make too damn much sense.
