  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I went to a meet and greet with Rocky Patel tonight hosted by Emerson's. I took the plunge and bought my first whole box. I grabbed Decades in robusto. When you bought a ticket it included 3 cigars, 1 of them being the Decade. It was awesome.

I've been looking to grow my collection, especially since Ill be moving in with my buddy soon and he smokes too, I know I'll end up going through more. The entire meet up was cool and I'm excited to have gotten my first box.

I also had a Rocky Patel Sun Grown which was a great smoke too.

Sounds like murky water! Congrats on getting a box of smokes you like - highly recommend putting a few away and letting them “rest” to revisit down the road.

Down hill from here brother. Buy an 80 to 180 quart Coleman ice chest. You want a good, tight seal. I had 4 before my son built my wardrobe humi). Get some beads or unscented kitty crystals and put them in a mesh bag or use a stocking. ( I used both). Battery operated fans. I have a few if you can't find em. Dont bother lining with cedar unless you want. I found good cedar boxes from cigar purchases and local b&ms worked great for loose sticks otherwise just used the boxes they came in. Viola a coolidor. Now just buy more boxes. Nothing like opening and picking from boxes to make your day. If you are married the wife will look at you funny when you get the second one. Have fun

My first box was of Romeo & Juliet’s from JR. I had no idea what I was doing...they were offering a humi for 10 bucks with the RYJ so I went for it. I thought they were mediocre smokes even back them but I still use the humi 15 years later.4D8D71E0-D23D-45AC-8DE9-5AF67282E8F0.jpeg
Wish I would have gone to an event and had some direction, I just picked randomly.

That's a nice humi, even back then, that was a good deal!

I don't remember my first box, but I think it was an El Dentes almost twenty years ago! I had bought several cheap bundles from JR before then. Now their prices are too high, even for the cheap bundles that I used to get! I can get way better cigars now for less $$$.
