That's not a bad price, but don't forget that it's going to be another $15 - $20 for the shipping.

I've eaten food that was cooked with chunks from bourbon barrels before and couldn't tell a considerable difference to justify the cost.

I smoke foods all the time, but hardly ever use oak. I prefer hickory, apple, and pecan for just about everything.

Have you ever tried grape vine wood for fowl? It's too subtle to use with red meat or pork, but for chicken or white fish it's really nice.

I've dried the Jack wood chips as well, like the rest, didn't notice a difference. I'll keep the jack in the cook from now now. I also like apple wood for most of my BBQ.
