I've been keeping a log of the cigars that I smoke for future reference. The form I'm using I found on the net. It is a nice form that has fill in the blank spots for box code and box date. I just bought my first box, which was not cuban BTW, but it had neither a code or date on the box. I am wondering if the box code and date are strictly a cuban thing or do other non-cuban manufacturers use them?

Thanks
John

I know that Padron using this for their 1964/1926 series...I'm not sure about regular production though. It's basically a cuban thing.

Padron marks the bottom of their Anniversary line with a sequence of numbers that they can use to determine where it was originally distributed too.

Esespcion III (sp) has a box code and date; Boli Petites and ERdM Petites have a box date on them.
