  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Just finished smoking this excellent stick.

J.. Newman Cigars
Country- Nicaragua
Length- 5″
Ring Gauge- 54
Filler- Nicaragua
Binder-Nicaragua
Wrapper- Nicaragua
Price- $5.00-$6.00

Appearance- 15 points out of 15
Excellent appearance. No blemishes or excessive veining.

Construction- 15 points out of 20
Draw was good and provided ample amounts of smoke. Burn was a little uneven. Ash was nice and white with no flaking and held on for a good 1.5 inches.

Flavor- 35 points out of 50
Taste was good and pleasant. This cigar is strong so it may not be the best cigar for new smokers. Primary flavors were toast and leather.

Value- 15 points out of 15
For $5 this stick is a bargain and if you have the means would be an excellent everyday cigar but not for special occasion.

Total 80 points
This is an excellent cigar but I personally do not believe that it is in the top 25 cigars of 2010. I recommend this cigar but not to new smokers as the strength may be off putting to them.

Thanks for the review. Had my first Brickhouse a few weeks ago, when the local shops started carrying them finally. Im looking to get a box. Great flavour, but the strength did start to get to me.

Yeah i like the brickhouse as well, never seemed that strong of a cigar. I put the robusto and corona larga in a solid medium, with the toro and mighty mighty getting into the full spectrum. I do agree that it is a great bang for your buck smoke.

Great review - Thanks.

I've never had one of these yet, but here's my question: Those of you that like the Brick House... What other's do you smoke on a "regular" basis...? What would you compare the brick house too.... That will help identify the taste profile just a little.

These taste pretty good, but I've had several with huge veins running up through the cap, which are extremely annoying. I had one mighty mighty that exploded. Haven't been in a hurry to buy more.
