  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hey guys, this will be my first review that I have posted on BOTL

BrickHouse Robusto
Specs:
Size- 5x54
Price- $5ish (I don't remember exactly, but less than 6)
Country- Nicaragua

Appearance/Construction:
Very well constructed. Few veins visible on the reddish-brown wrapper with some tooth only in some areas. The wrapper also had a notable sheen. Overall a great looking cigar.

Pre-light:
The foot smelled of tobacco and hay. The same flavors were present in the pre-light draw which was good with a slight resistance.

1st Third:
Immediately after lighting I got a lot of leather and sweet tobacco with a clean medium finish. There was a little bit of pepper and wood flavor early on but only slightly. Right away I noticed that this cigar had a very nice savory aroma to the ambient smoke.

2nd Third:
Moving into the 2nd I noticed a coffee flavor on the finish. The leather faded a bit here with earthy and woody notes becoming the dominant flavors. The sweetness faded for a bit, returning as it approached the final third. At this point the burn was very good, no touch ups required so far.

Last Third:
The last third was more of the same flavors from the middle with a bit of a fruit flavor coming in to the mix. I encountered some burn issues at this point requiring several touch ups and the cigar heated up a bit so I put it down not too far after this last photo. Total smoking time to this point was about an hour and a half.

Overall:
I really enjoyed this stick. Medium body with a lot of flavor is usually what I like and this delivered. The flavor profile isn't what I would call an exact match for my tastes but It definitely hit the spot and I would certainly smoke more. The price is right also. For less than $6 this was an awesome cigar. I will buy more and would definitely recommend them to others.

+1, great smokes for the price...

I found the 1st inch to be sort of blah, but once you get past that the cigar really opens up....

I found your review to pretty close to my experience with it as well. It is a good cigar and will be smoked again after I get another 5 pak.

My Local B&M called Tuttle's Select Cigars.
Hahaha...I've been there bro! Had to check out the naughty shop in front first for the ol lady but eventually I made it back in the building and found the Tuttle's shop. Nice place great selection. A little high but there's no competition so that's expected. Anyways....great Pics and Review. These are a great stick for the price and I always keep a few on hand.
