British Open

The British Open begins tonight, 1:00 am on the west coast. I will try to watch the beginning of it, but I have it taped because I know I'm going to fall asleep. I would sure like to see Jordan Spieth take home the Claret Jug.

I fly back home tomorrow and should be in my recliner by 3pm est. Hopefully Golf Channel or NBC has a replay on.

I'll take Fowler or Johnson. Either would be fun. If Spieth won, I think the history would be cool, I just think the odds are long. But Hell, we had a Triple Crown winner, so.....

This afternoon wave of players is having a tough go of it. Maybe they will catch up playing early tomorrow.

I do feel for Dustin Johnson and would like to see him win. And I want Fowler to get a major soon after his peers voted him overrated. And I miss McIlroy this week. Damn golfs future is in good shape with these young guns.

Looks like everyone is having a harder time on the back 9 though. Most of the birdies and higher scores have been from good play on the front 9. That will change as the wind picks up and hole placement changes.

The morning group had a huge advantage today. Little wind and soft greens. The afternoon groupings are getting wind and harder greens.

Anyone know what ruling they we're waiting for on 11 this morning? Seem foolish that guys on 11 took no strokes, while some guys played two full holes.

They were talking about his ball "oscillating" on the green due to the wind. That stacked four groups up on the tee box behind them.

It is a crowded leader board and any one of 10 guys has a good shot at winning. Too bad I have to work tomorrow.
