  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Please excuse the fact I didn't take great, indepth notes.

Daniel the BugMan passed out some unbanded cigars, with a very cool MO BOTL band, completely with mantii, at the Springfield Herf for a fun exercise!

I lit up this cigar the other night enjoying the nice weather. It appears to be a robusto, approximately 5x48-50? A chocolate brown wrapper, with some visible vegetable wrapper glue in spots. Very tightly, densely packed cigar. A nose on the foot and wrapper was very Liga-ish. The dense pack seemed to lean toward Liga. BUT the glue messiness and the tight draw I experienced kind of led me away from thinking of a Liga Privada.

The initial taste was a peppery tingle on the front of my tongue. It died off quickly. The flavor profile was not very complex, but remained steady throughout the cigar. Cedar wood, a tannic bitterness (not a bad bitter), and a slightly sweet/floral profile summarizes this cigar.

At first, I almost thought Nicaraguan. But after that spice dropped and turned the other way, I think maybe some Honduran tobacco in the cigar. Possibly Dominican. I have absolutely no guess on manufacturer, though. It was a good cigar, not great, but good.

Thank you to Daniel for providing this fun exercise! There are several other Brothers from the Springfield Herf that needs to get this reviewed, too! :chat:
