Buying cc at the resort gift shop

So I am going to Cancun Mexico tomorrow and have just been informed that the resorts gift shop sells CC and also provide room service for cigars also. Now I know about not buying off the guys selling them at the beach. But have any of you had any luck with real CC at the gift shops at carribean resorts

They will be overpriced even when compared to buying from a LCDH.

Just walk to the LCDH.

My buddy stayed at Grand Oasis Cancun and they sold fakes in their cigar lounge.

Unless you know your ccs, I would not take the risk.

I've stayed at a few resorts in the Yucatán. I can say that they are all going to be overpriced and most will be fakes. Most of the time it's just a random person who didn't have much knowledge about cigars much less CC's. Like what was said earlier, you're better of finding a LCDH and making your purchase there.

Prices at Hard Rock Cancun were astronomical. For NCs too. Not stored very well either sadly.

Only resort I've ever been to where the CCs were not fakes was Atlantis in Nassau, and I believe that was an LCdH at one time. I wouldn't touch them anywhere else with a ten foot pole.

Yea they sold real cigars. I found an unopened box and checked the serial number. Everything checked out. The prices were a little cheaper than Canada and the taxi ride to the habanos shop was to pricey so I bought a couple different cigars to smoke while I was there. The favourite smoke there was the punch royal coronation tubos. I also bought montecristo no.4 (5 pack) at the duty free at the toronto airport and boy are those things good. I couldn't even bring myself to save one for after the trip
