So tonight I had my first Cabaiguan. It was the RX size. My boss (A civilian) was kind enough to leave one on my desk for me today. I was pretty stoked since I brought him a Consuegra 84 to try. I wanted him to try a Connie since they are dirt cheap and pretty damned good in my opinion.
Anyway, this isn't really a review. I don't feel like a single cigar should be "reviewed" and some really good ones are already out there.
What shocked me was after the initial blast of white pepper flavor, I swear to all that's holy this thing tasted the way chicken over a wood fired grill smells.
Still with me? (This should get some interesting responses.)
Another note is about the stationary smoke.
The stationary smoke/resting smoke smelled exactly like white chocolate to me.
Other than that, I thought it was just O.K. Had some nice sweetness and definite wood and pepper going on. But, just O.K. It also seemed to really dry out my palette. I killed two 32oz glasses of water during a robusto.
Alright, let me know what your thoughts are.
