I was looking forward to something less of a bomb than the original Cain. The original Cain is fine, but one must be prepared for a full-strength nicotine bomb. The Daytona has been reported to be as flavorful, but with a toned-down hit with nicotine. The petite corona still has that hit. I suspect the larger vitolas will have a little less impact, however I could be wrong.

I picked up a box of the Daytona in the "corona" (I think they're 6x46 or so, but they appear a bit bigger than that to me) size at a Studio Tobac event here a few of weeks ago. I also went ahead and picked up a couple singles from each of the other vitolas, as I'd quite liked the Cain sticks I'd had before.

After trying a couple of each size at this point, I'd tend to agree that the bigger sizes water down the perceived power of the stick by diminishing the more resonant "body" flavors, but they've still got all the pepper and spice that you get from the slimmer guys.

I tended to think that the 6x60 had a bit more complexity-over-time, but I still preferred the flavor balance of the leaner vitolas.

I'm not sure how many of these you've smoked, but did you notice the short corona getting hot/soft quicker than you'd expect? That was certainly the case with my experience, even though they didn't seem particularly loose/soft to the touch pre-light.
