  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Gonna try my hand in making these...

Here's a list of cachaca my local liquor store carries. From what I've read so far, I will probably get the Mae De Ouro but would like to hear opinions on the others.

AGUA LUCA CACHACA
AGUARDIENTE PITU CACHACA
CABANA CACHACA
LEBLON CACHACA
MAE DE OURO CACHACA
PIRASSUNUNGA CACHACA 21
PIRASSUNUNGA CACHACA 51
VELHO BARREIRO CACHACA
YPIOCA CACHACA * GOLD
YPIOCA CACHACA * SILVER

I've only made cachaças once, and it was with the Aguardiente Pitu. It was good, and from what I can remember a pretty good value, too.

I think Chuck could make a neat input here, if I remember correctly. That said, I use one that a Brazilian mate got me; I'll try and write the name here.

Ah, yes...one of my favorite spirits.

AGUA LUCA CACHACA
LEBLON CACHACA
YPIOCA CACHACA * GOLD

I've gone through a bottle of these three and if I had to choose one it'd be the Ypioca Gold (Ouro?) hands down. The Agua Luca was great too but I liked the "refined" mellow taste of the aged Ypioca more. I didn't care too much for Leblon.

OK you made me Google it, apparently it's the sugar that's most important. Raw cane sugar?

Nice, I've been looking for the 120 for some time. We didn't have any DFH up until a year or so ago.
