  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

i thought it would be fun to smoke and review a cigar that everyone probably has in their humidor,so i chose the camacho corojo diploma robusto.

very firm feel, with a peppery tobacco smell

punched and torched in the usual way.
very peppery with a kinda sweet woodsy tobacco flavor in the first few puffs

turning leathery tasting with plenty of pepper, and a taste of cedar on the retrohale, which i won't be doing again with this cigar!
great draw, decent burn, and plenty of smoke

a touch of coffee, with no cream, has joined the leather. no cream there either.
still peppery with a light cedar taste. tobacco is not as sweet, but still pleasant on the palate.
smoking really well now

burn, draw, and smoke are all doing fine.
medium full body and strength, but probably not the best cigar for a morning smoke, but how you gonna know that until you try.
dig my hat! i was a volunteer fireman back in '89,bet ya didn't know that. that's not where i got the hat though

still got the pepper action, with a little less leather taste, and a little more wood flavor.
nice little kick to it that puts a tingle on my tongue, and gets my saliva glands going

no real change in flavors. mostly pepper, light coffee, and woodsy tobacco.
same great draw, burning better with plenty of smoke. gotta lose the band soon

last couple of inches and it's kicking pretty good now.
lot's of pepper action, little more coffee, and leather has shown back up to join the woodsy tobacco flavor.
i know you're wondering where zilla is. he's still at work on his paper route. don't laugh,it's the only job he could find!

nubbing it and i'm glad i'm sitting down...lol. it's a regular powerhouse cigar now!
pepper never faded, coffee with light leather and the same woodsy tobacco flavor on the finish

definitely a recommended cigar,so stop saving your's,and smoke it already...lol

hope you enjoyed the review!

Great review!

I've only had one Camacho - the SLR Maduro perfecto - and I really liked it!

Another nice review Ron - I always seem to go digging thru the wineador searching for your reviewed sticks!

Thanks Ron. You gonna make me dig mine out. I think I have one of these that I got a year or so ago so it should be ripe for the picking.

The Mullet went out of fashion in '89, I believe....(was it ever "in" fashion?)

I have had several of these and it's one of the best Camacho's for sure. Nice consistent flavors through 3/4 of this cigar. Med-to med/full.
