This had been a good and busy weekend so I thought I would treat myself to something nice. I peered into my humi and this Camacho was just starring me down with a passion and it was just begging to be smoked. The presentation of this cigar is just amazing and is quite possibly the best I have seen in a while. The box is individually numbered and it looks as though extreme care went into the packaging. The cigar is also wrapped in tissue paper. When you opened the box it had an amazing smell emanating from it.
After it was cut it had a great prelight draw and cedary smell just like the box. Upon lighting it also had a woodsy flavor but not that of cedar. It was more of an oak taste. After about a half inch in the burn is just perfect and the ash is nice and nearly pure white. Nothing major at this point but the wrapper is starting to have a couple small cracks but it is not affecting anything. It seems like I have the same problem with all dual wrapper cigars.
After about an inch in the cigar is starting to burn a little hot and fast but it has not affected the flavor any. The cigar has been pretty mild thus far and really enjoyable. It is producing thick billowing clouds of smoke at this point and is perfect for blowing smoke rings. I am starting to pick up a bit of cinnamon at this point and the woodsy taste has dissipated.
It is growing in strength at this point and I am picking up a new flavor that is unfamiliar to me. It kind of taste like tea. The burn has just been flawless and no touch ups have been needed. The woodsy flavor has returned and this thing just keeps getting stronger.
I am getting a creamy and leathery taste in the final third. It has some of the thickest and creamiest smoke I have ever experienced.
This cigar has just been a pleasure to smoke from start to finish and has so many flavors that it never got boring or bland. In the strength department this cigar underwent a huge transformation. It started off extremely mild and turned into a real powerhouse by the end. The flavors on this thing were just amazing and I did not want it to end. It was starting to burn my fingers so I opted to nub this one with a toothpick. Right in the end I picked up yet another flavor. Pepper
Since this cigar treated me so well I thought it deserved a proper burial, and the best way to do that was in the coffin it came in. Damn I wish I had some more of these. It easily is one of the top ten cigars I have ever smoked.
