  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Went up to Red Feather lakes yesterday to fish and camp! Caught a few nice trout for dinner tonight, and made an awesome meal last night! Teriyaki marinated pork tender loin cooked over the fire, then thrown in the pot with the spuds/peas/lard mix. Was probably the best camping food I've had!!!
Really looking forward to these monster trout tonight! It's hard to get the 1lb.+ fish without going up into the mountains, so these are always a nice treat!

Not a big fan of trout... specially when they all look so upset just laying there...

That pork looks great, and enjoy the fish.

Mmmmmmm trout, it probably is one of my favorites (in fish category). I remember when i used to go fishing with the family, last time we did it was about 10 or 11 years ago.

 Please have a bite for me!

Wouldn't you like to know?
Was fly fishing up in the mountains on saturday. Unfortunately the rules for that lake are you can't keep anything under 16" but caught 11 15" fish. I guess all the big ones were to smart for me.

Very nice! I love that area. I`ve spent some time in the Crystal Lakes area with my family. I can take the kids to Crystal lake and the small surrounding ponds and fish all day, then dad gets to spend some time alone on the Cache La Poudre in the evenings. Have you ever been to the buddhist temple up there? I`ve heard its pretty cool but have never seen it for myself.

I love the fact that i am not the only one Bob likes picking on. And the food looks great it always taste better when camping. But i have become a little wimpy the kids stay in the tent and we stay in the AC at night.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, gotta get up there!! are you fly fishing?
Nah man, my little brother, cousin, and I brought the canoe up. This lake is literally one of the most gorgeous lakes ever. And we catch way bigger fish flyfishing! It's just catch and release only. If you want to come do some awesome lake fishing instead of fly fishing, let me know! Lake Dowdy is probably one of my favorite fishing spots in the state.
