My father has smoked old ironsides for as long as I can remember and I have bought all I can find since it has gone out of production. Does anyone have any suggestions

Old Ironsides is filled with Latakia tobacco. Anything with a heavy amount of it in the blend will be satisfying. I am not a pipe smoker anymore but did go through an "Ironsides" phase.

Talk with Craig Tarler @ Cornell + Diehl. He is a master tobacco blender and has made a number of substitutes for discontinued blends over the years. They might already have something close or can make a custom blend for you.
