  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Last night I enjoyed my first CAO MX-2. To a person new to cigars, this monster would be quite intimidating. It 7x56 size and its almost black wrapper would send most noobs running. Fortunately I knew better. Being a CAO I knew I was in for a treat. Upon first examination, it has a nice firmness and consistent feel. The foot has the aroma of Espresso/Pecans. When I cut the cap it cut very cleanly w/o any tearing what so ever. The first draw before lighting had the same flavor as the scent of the foot. What really surprised me was the fact that this cigar was great on the first puff. It was bold with a full smoke. The flavor was the rich espresso with the sweetness of pecans as said before. About an inch into it the smoke got a little fuller but no bite or bitterness. It stayed like this for about 1/2 if the cigar. I'm now almost an hour into it. and it gradually got a more leatherish taste to the smoke. It got thicker and richer but still very, very tasty. At the end unfortunately it came unraveled a little but that may have been due to not having enough time in the humi after the shipping time. This is not a cigar for the timid. If you are going to enjoy one of these beauties, make sure you have a good 2 hours to relax and enjoy this fine cigar. I give it a score of 91. I'd have scored it higher except for the unraveling. I highly recommend this to anyone with the taste for Maduro cigars. :smokingbo

I'm a CAO Ho, but this one and the America are two that I haven't tried yet for some reason. I've got one in the humi, though, and after this great review I'll dig it out once the weather warms up. I really do like sweet maduros (and cammies), so this sounds great to me!

Thanks!
