Looking for advice. I’m putting together a care package for a friend in Iraq in the 32 MP Company, and want to throw in a box of cigars. I know he smokes cigars from time to time as do his fellow troops. Being a newb, I’m trying to figure out what I like let alone what I should send over there. Any advice on what I should send? I want it to be something decent. I hear it can take 3 to 4 weeks for delivery so that concerns me a bit. Thanks for any advice.

we would send my cousin and his recon team packages all the time on his last tour. jerky is always great. Also candy, laughy taffy was one he always asked for cause if it melted it wasnt a big deal. we also sent DVDs usually TV show seasons. but they will like anything that you can send them

There are some pics in the first of [ame="http://www.botl.org/community/forums/showthread.php?t=22916"]njstone's care package[/ame] of what it looked like before it went out, you may find it usefull. Tupperware containers and water pillows are a must, any "food" you would send would have to easily last a few months just to be on the safe side.

If you have any questions you can direct them towards me as well. I was recently one of the troops and have been a sender of packages at the same time. I can even let you in on devious little secrets. :king:
