  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Review # 20
$4. - $7.
Strength: Medium-Full
Wrapper: Brazilian
Origin: Honduras, Nicaragua
5"x50

Prelight: Licorices, sweet tobacco, caramel

1st 1/3
Slightly hard draw, this is accrued on all the ones I've smoke to date but always open up later.

Sweet creamy smoke of cocoa, earth, sweet spices an dried berries and dark chocolate.

2nd 1/3
Caramel is dominant and slight pepper tingle the nose.

Spiced cinnamon and faint cherry flavors also, this is one hell of a stick and is causing my favorite Arturo Fuente Añejo to take a back seat, not to mention the drastic difference in price attraction and matched slow burn.

Final 1/3
Burn is sharp and again the draw opens up, there isn’t much of a nicotine kick and that's fine with me.

Coffee, leather also with a bit of wood and that light pepper, the licorice fading just right for balance.

This has become a box worthy cigar and an everyday stick for rotating with other favorites.
Nice short smoke

Even if you don't like them after getting a few, there great for gifts with there attractive copper cigar bands (you can give them to me )
Smoke time: 1 hr
Score 9.5 out of 10

I got a good deal on a box of Torpedo's recently. Definitely one of my favorite sticks.

I gotta say this was one of my first loves. The only one I enjoy more now is the Red Vault. I have a special place in my heart for Torano.

After reading this review and seeing that you put the anejo in the backseat to this stick I now will have to try one as I have never come across Toranos in my area.

This is the only Torano I've had that I liked... The regular exodus line I found to be flavorless and flat, as a matter of fact it got thrown in the campfire about 1/3 into it.

I really enjoyed this stick early on in my cigar journey. Now, whatever that thick, molassesy flavor is in the wrapper totally turns me off. Very nice review, though!

It's a little flat, but just that. What flavor is there is not bad. Regarding the silver that is.

Good review on a cigar that's one of my humidors favorites and has been for years. I'm also glad to see that these aren't the trendy cigar because as we've all seen...any popular cigar tends to get priced on the high side and I hate that but....that's just how the business is and not just for cigars.

Sorry to revive an old thread but didn't want to duplicate it for the sake of reviewing the same stick.

I have been through a few 5 packs of these and they always deliver (especially when you can pick up 5 packs for ~$15 on cbid).

Construction and burn are great (I find Torano to deliver quality construction on all their sticks). Good medium in flavor with some bold cacao, leather and some very aromatic wood (not cedar but can't put my finger on what kind of wood). Mild on the nicotine front (which I prefer). Very smooth throughout with little pepper in the throat or on the lips. Flavors ramp up as you get down to the final third. I don't ever really nub cigars but was prolonging my frostbite this weekend to get as much out of this one as possible. It keeps delivering.

This cigar won't knock your socks off, but it also won't leave you board or longing for more.

Is this the 50 year gold band or the regular 1959 exodus band?
