  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Stopped by CI's Superstore on the way back from Home Depot yesterday and spied these on the rack.

Apperance short and thick (4 3/4 x 60) with a dark brown wrapper with an oily sheen, its a nice looking cigar. There where no soft spots and the weight was on the heavy side. I thought it may have overfilled, but the draw was fine. First draw brought bitter chocolate notes and spice. During the first half I picked up some coffee and roasted malt flavors. Second half was consitant flavor wise with the first, with it growing a little stronger. Burn was good for the most part I had to touch it up once. Ash was dark greay and firm.

All in all a great smoke, full bodied, good flavors I think a year or two of age would make these only better.

I actually had the Robusto first and when I went back to my local B+M they only had the Torito's left. I really enjoyed both but the Robusto seemed to carry the flavor for longer and was more enjoyable. Then again I think my Toritos need to sit for a while longer.

I love the Coronas, the Robusto is nice, never had the one you reviewed. Just ticks me off that we haven't gotten any back since our first two shipments.

I've had both the Robusto and the Torito and there were some differences, bot nothing big. Both are great $5 cigars. I like the size of the Torito...

Of course it doesn't. I ignore the actual ranking and look at the 'top 25' as a checklist of cigars to grab if I see 'em somewhere. This year that led me to the Casa Torano Maduro which I really like.
